EcomAppReviews is published by Reaktion ApS, a Danish company in Copenhagen. By reading the site, using the finder, submitting an app or posting a comment you accept the rules below. They are short because the site is simple.

Editorial content and rankings

The guides and pillar articles are editorial content, written under the name on each page and dated. The ranked tables are not written by anyone: they are computed from the public listing of each app on apps.shopify.com by the formula on the methodology page. A rank is an ordering of public numbers, not a recommendation to buy. Check the listing and test an app in your own store before you rely on it.

Ratings, counts and review excerpts

Ratings and review counts are the values shown on each app's public listing when it was last refreshed, so they can lag behind the live listing. Review excerpts are at most 25 words of one review, shown with the details the listing shows and linked to the source. A developer or a merchant can ask for an excerpt to be suppressed; the counts stay, the quote goes. Shopify's own review summaries are never republished.

Store profiles

Store profiles under /shopify/stores are built from public facts in a third-party store database and can be out of date. A store owner can ask for a profile to be corrected or removed. How the lookup works and what is kept: Privacy.

App submissions

Submitting an app asks for it to be listed or refreshed. It does not change where the app ranks, there is no paid placement, and a person decides whether to approve the request without having to give a reason.

Comments

Comments are reviewed before they appear and can be declined without a reason. By posting one you allow the site to show it on the page, with the name you gave, for as long as the page exists. Keep comments on topic, do not post other people's personal data, and do not post anything you do not have the right to publish.

No warranty

The site is provided as is. Reaktion ApS does not promise that the content is complete, current or free of errors, or that the site is available at all times, and does not accept liability for decisions taken on the basis of it. If you find a mistake, tell us and it is corrected.

Trademarks

Shopify is a trademark of Shopify Inc. The site is not affiliated with Shopify. App names, logos, icons and screenshots belong to their developers and are used only to identify the apps the site lists. No affiliation with or endorsement by those owners is implied.

Reusing the content

Short quotes with a link to the source page are welcome. Copying whole guides or ranked tables is not allowed without written permission. The ranking formula itself is public and may be reused with attribution.

Corrections and takedown requests

Wrong values, outdated listings, excerpt suppression, store profile removal, trademark concerns and other takedown requests go to hello@ecomappreviews.com. Listing facts are corrected at the next refresh of that listing, which is requested first.

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. Who runs the site: About.
