EcomAppReviews is operated by Reaktion ApS, a Danish company in Copenhagen. There are no user accounts, no sign-in and no newsletter. This page lists everything the site records about a visitor, what it is used for and how to have it removed.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count page views and to see which pages are read, roughly where visits come from and which device type is used. Google sets its own cookies for this and processes the data under Google's privacy policy. The numbers decide which pages and guides get attention; they are not combined with anything you type into the site.

Fonts

The General Sans typeface is loaded from Fontshare, so your browser requests the font files from Fontshare's servers when a page loads. That request carries the usual technical data a web request carries. Inter, the fallback, is served from the site itself.

Comments

When you post a question or comment, the site stores your name, the text and the time. The e-mail address is optional and is never stored as such: only a salted hash of it is kept, to detect duplicate posts and to limit how often one person can post. Your connection address is also stored only as a hash, to limit how many comments one connection can send per hour. Nothing is published until a person has read and approved it; approved comments appear on the page with the name you gave. Comments are stored on Vercel Blob, the site's file storage.

Find my best apps and store profiles

The finder on /shopify/find takes a role and, optionally, a store domain. A domain you enter is looked up in a third-party store database (Store Leads), which returns public facts about that store: platform, plan, country, catalogue size, categories and the apps it runs. The site keeps those facts as a public store profile at /shopify/stores/<domain> so the lookup becomes a page others can read. The database's revenue estimate is reduced to a size band before it is shown anywhere, and the raw record is not stored. Lookups are limited per connection (ten per minute); that counter lives in memory only and is not written anywhere. If you own a store and want its profile corrected or removed, write to hello@ecomappreviews.com.

App submissions

A submission on /shopify/submit stores the app address, your name, your e-mail address, the company name if you give one, your role and your note, with the time of the request. The e-mail address is kept with the request so a reviewer can write back if something is unclear; it is never published or passed on. Your connection address is stored only as a hash, to limit how many requests one connection can send per hour. Submissions are stored on Vercel Blob and read by a person; approved app handles are published as a plain list so the next refresh picks those listings up first.

Hosting and storage

The site runs on Vercel and keeps comments, submissions, store profiles and mirrored images on Vercel Blob. Like any web host, Vercel handles the technical request data (address, browser, requested page) needed to serve and protect the site. The site itself does not build visitor profiles from those requests.

Images

Editorial photos come from Unsplash and are served from the site's own storage with a credit in the caption. App icons and screenshots are shown from the public listing on apps.shopify.com or from a copy on the site's storage.

Links to other sites

App pages link to the listing on apps.shopify.com and to developer websites. Each of those has its own privacy policy; this one stops at the link.

Your requests

You can ask what the site holds about you and ask for it to be deleted: a comment, a submission or a store profile. Write to hello@ecomappreviews.com. Because e-mail addresses on comments and connection addresses are only kept as hashes, a comment request is matched on the name and page you give.
